I have a question. Suppose I have a multi-use workstation, let’s say at a real estate office and I want to have different users at different times share the machine. I also want maximum protection for these novice users from Internet attacks. If I set up different zones for each user to use for their browsing and daily work, is this a proper use of zones — or is it just a lot of configuration work for no gain.
Better way to configure a workstation? Just use accounts like in Linux?
zone newbie so be polite.

Hello Bill,
(sorry for the late answer, I just got back from holiday!)
I think the best for you would be to create one zone only and create user accounts for your users. You get the added security of the zone to protect your workstation again whatever wrong thing your users could do.
And the additional benefit of being able to supervise them from the Global zone.
